Silent Hill 2 Remake Preorders Are Already Available Online

We’ve seen a string of remakes of beloved survival horror games like Resident Evil 4 and , but one of the biggest is the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake for PS5 and PC. While we’re still waiting for Konami to announce the game’s release date, preorders for the anticipated survival horror game are already available online at select retailers.

You can preorder physical copies of the Silent Hill 2 remake on PS5 for $70 at Amazon and GameStop. Digital PS5 and PC preorders are not available yet, but you can wishlist the game at the PlayStation Store or Steam to be alerted when it goes on sale. No Silent Hill 2 preorder bonuses have been announced yet.

The original Silent Hill 2 is one of the best survival horror games and is often cited as the high point of the Silent Hill series, so expectations are high for the new remake even though we haven’t seen much from the game since it was revealed back in 2022. However, we do know the game is being built in Unreal Engine 5 by Polish studio Bloober Team. The team is best known for its own horror titles like Layers of Fear, The Medium, and Blair Witch, as well as the dystopian cyberpunk adventure game Observer. The Silent Hill 2 remake is part of a wider push from Konami to resurrect the dormant horror franchise along with other new projects like Silent Hill: Ascension, Silent Hill F, and Silent Hill: Townfall.

Silent Hill isn’t the only beloved Konami game getting a revival. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a ground-up remake of the PS2 classic Metal Gear Solid 3 in development for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Konami also recently released the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 1, which includes HD ports of the first three Metal Gear Solid titles for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. The Master Collection is part of Amazon’s ongoing B2G1 free game sale.
