Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’s first in-game event begins on November 15, letting players earn lots of special goodies, including double XP tokens, weapon camos, emblems, and more.
The event is called True Legends, and it’s taking place to honor military veterans. This follows the launch of the latest Call of Duty Endowment charity DLC that brought a real-life military veteran to the game. Everyone who buys that DLC for $10 will not only help support the Call of Duty Endowment charity, but they will also progress through the event’s bonuses faster.
The True Legends event ends on November 22, so players have a full week to obtain all the items. In a blog post, Activision said the way to unlock the rewards is simply by “playing the game and earning XP.”
The Call of Duty Endowment is an Activision charity that helps fund the placement of military veterans in new civilian jobs after they leave the service. Since the charity was founded in 2009, Activision says it has placed more than 125,000 military veterans in jobs.
Players can buy the Call of Duty Endowment Warrior Pack to unlock the Koa King Operator, who is based on a real-life decorated former Navy SEAL who served in multiple tours of duty across the world.
