Wrestlemania 2024 Start Time, How To Watch, Match Card, And Predictions

WWE’s premiere PLE event is just around the corner, and this time, it’s extra large. Wrestlemania XL takes place on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, and it’s sure to be two nights filled with iconic moments that will live up to the hype, especially because Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is involved. Wrestlemania 40 (aka Wrestlemania XL) is filled with other superstars you love like Rhea Ripley, Sami Zayn, and both of the Usos–who are fighting one another. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming event.

This year’s Wrestlemania will take place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As of this writing, there are 10 matches on the card, which will take place over the course of two nights. Of course, more matches could be booked for the show, but most likely, there won’t be more than 12 matches in total.

Start time

  • 7 PM ET
  • 6 PM CT
  • 4 PM PT
  • 12 AM GMT (April 7, 8)
  • 9 AM AEST (April 7, 8)

Prior to the start times listed above, there is typically a Kickoff Show featuring talking heads, predicting matches for the PLE, along with special guests, and more. In previous years, there have been matches during the Kickoff Show, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

Predictions

Gunther vs. Sami Zayn

Gunther has been involved in plenty of David vs. Goliath storylines since he became the Intercontinental Champion–and Goliath won every single time. While Sami Zayn is the fan favorite here, Wrestlemania seems like the place where you expect giant upsets and title changes; however, it’s not going to happen here. Gunther will somehow come out on top–probably with help from Imperium–and Gunter’s ridiculously long reign as the IC champ will continue.

Winner: Gunther

Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes vs. The Rock and Roman Reigns

The Rock returning in his $500 shirts (probably from Dan Flashes) and teaming with his family member Roman Reigns has made for some entertaining and compelling television leading into Wrestlemania. The battle between Rock and Reigns vs. Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes has been exceptionally intense, so when the teams were announced to fight at Wrestlemania, it made sense for the conclusion of this rivalry–especially with Reigns and Rhodes fighting the next night. What it comes down to is going to be a brutal battle between two men who have/were on top for years vs. men who think they should be on top. And in the end, it will be The Rock and Roman Reigns squeaking out a win.

Winners: The Rock and Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes

Let’s move to the next night, where Roman Reigns will defend his championship against Cody Rhodes. Undoubtedly, Rhodes will be hurt and be the underdog in this match after the events of the night prior. Reigns will be cocky and have Solo by his side–and maybe The Rock will show up as well. One of two things will happen: The Rock will turn on Reigns (not as likely) or Rhodes will overcome Reigns because he thinks he has this match in the bag. Either way, this will be the match that finally ends Reigns’ reign.

Winner: Cody Rhodes

Becky Lynch vs. Rhea Ripley

After Rhea told Lynch on Raw that Becky’s child will be calling Ripley “Mami” after their match, there was a fire lit under Lynch that will for sure be in the forefront of her mind during their Wrestlemania match. Obviously, Dom will be involved in the match to protect “Mami,” especially after Lynch punched him on Raw. While Ripley doesn’t rely on the rest of her underlings in Judgment Day to interfere in her matches, they may come into play here–except for Dom. In the end, Ripley will come out on top. However, expect a different outcome when Ripley and Lynch get their rematch at Backlash.
