10 Months After Believing He Would Die, Jeremy Renner Is Running Uphill Again

Jeremy Renner has marked ten months of recovery from his horrific snow plough accident with a video of himself running up and down his inclined driveway, as picked up by Variety. The Oscar-nominated actor’s progress is impressive to say the least, after his horrific accident left him with over 30 broken bones, including both ankles, his right knee, and his left tibia.

The video shows Renner doing exercises on his driveway, which he says is his “first attempt at any of this activity, especially at steep grade.” He also thanks fans for their support over the course of his recovery so far, as well as leaving a message for family and friends.

Renner discussed his recovery process in a post earlier this month, describing all the different therapies he’s tried on the road to recovery, including “physical therapy, peptide injections, IV drips and pushes, stem cell and exosomes, red light / IR therapy, hyperbaric chamber 2.0 atmospheres, cold plunge,” and more.

He added that the best therapy of all has been “my mind and the will to be here and push to recover and be better,” again noting the friends and family who have been there for his recovery.

Renner was rushed to hospital on New Year’s Day after being run over by his own snow plough in a near-fatal accident. He has since revealed that he didn’t think he was going to survive the accident, which left him with over 30 broken bones and other injuries including a punctured lung.

The two-time Oscar nominee is known for his roles in The Hurt Locker and The Town, as well as playing Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye in multiple movies across the MCU. Renner quickly returned to exercise with all the dedication of an action movie star, posting Instagram stories of assisted workouts less than two months after the accident, and jogging on his broken leg as early as May.
