Pokemon Go has gotten spooky for Halloween, but with November almost upon us Niantic has started to tease the next seasonal event. The company hinted through Twitter that November will be all about catching bugs, with a big reward for completing your marks.
November will bring Field Research tasks all around Bug-type Pokemon. If you collect enough stamps during the month, you can get a Research Breakthrough and an opportunity to catch a Shedinja. Presumably this means that Nincada and Ninjask would also become available sometime in the month.
Shedinja is a Bug- and Ghost-type Pokemon that first appeared in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. It’s the evolved form of Nincada, which would populate into an empty spot once that Pokemon involved into a Ninjask. The idea was that the exoskeleton of the Nincada would become its own individual Pokemon once the Ninjask emerged from it into the evolved form.

This means you have a few more days to complete the special Halloween event going on now. This year the event is debuting Drifloon, Drifblim, Stunky, and Skuntank–all Ghost and Dark type, appropriately enough. The store also added some new spooky gear, like a Gengar backpack. The new Special Research quest line for the month revolves around Spiritomb. And during the Halloween event, you can get double Candy for capturing Pokemon.
A Gym Raid battle this month introduces Giratina, the first Gen 4 Legendary in the game. That will last through November 20. Plus the next Community Day, scheduled for November 10, will feature Cyndaquil, the Pokemon Gold and Silver starter.
